This might sound a bit woowoo, but when you start doing art, you have to look more closely at stuff. And the more you do that, the more you see.
Having grown up in a wood near a river, I have always loved water, clouds, trees, and grasses, but I appreciate them in an entirely new way. It’s a real source of inspiration, though I am sure my husband is bored senseless of me stopping our journey to look at a particular natural event … because it happens All.The.Time.
But I am no realist. I want to capture a specific feeling.
