I love people watching, making up a slice of story based on a momentary snapshot I might have witnessed. People just fascinate me. I love all the sizes, the personalities, the fashions, the gates, the facial expressions.
Say I see a woman scold a child on the street. I would probably wonder what the girl might have done? Maybe the girl did nothing and the mother was harassed? Why would the mother be harassed? Maybe her boss is a plonker? Maybe she was fired? Maybe she has just been dumped?
And so on. These mini brain narratives often spark a storyline I want to visually represent. And trying to capture little interactions like that in a still image is a wonderful challenge.
